Jakarta, June 26, 2020 – PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk ("Metrodata" / "MTDL"), as a Digital Solution & Distribution Company in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) whose shares have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since 1990, decided to distribute dividends, totaling IDR 81.03 billion or 22.7% of net profit in 2019 of Rp357 billion. This announcement was decided at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2019 fiscal year which was held today.
Susanto Djaja, President Director of MTDL revealed, "The Annual GMS has decided the distribution of dividends, which is certainly supported by the success of MTDL in making a net profit in 2019, which was inseparable from the resulting performance by all stakeholders."
The GMS also approved the Company's Annual Report and Annual Financial Statements, including the Directors' Report and the Report of Board of Commissioners Supervisory Duties for the 2019 fiscal year. Also, approval for the appointment of Tanan Herwandi Antonius as the Independent Commissioner and the new Chair of the Audit Committee of the Company to replaced Lulu Terianto, who ended her term.
Susanto added, "MTDL continues to strive to transform into a Digital Solution & Distribution Company, and shows its excellence in answering various challenges and needs related to digital transformation in many sectors. We continue to develop and improve our core competencies in supporting the government to embrace the industry 4.0 in Indonesia through two main business units in the field of Hardware and Software Distribution, as well as MTDL’s Solution and Consulting business unit."
Currently, MTDL provides ICT products needed such as PC and notebook, server and storage, smartphone, networking, software, and others. MTDL has partnered with more than 100 world-renowned ICT products brands. Through its subsidiary, PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI), MTDL is the only company in Indonesia appointed by Intel Corporation as an Intel® IoT Solution Aggregator and working together to develop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in Indonesia.
In 2020, the Distribution business unit will continue to add collaboration with new ICT products principals, especially for IoT, gaming, and IT security. Furthermore, the Company also markets home appliance products, such as blender, shaver, vacuum cleaner, etc. "We have implemented this strategy so that the range of products and services distributed through the MTDL distribution network which has proven to last for 45 years can be even more complete," said Randy Kartadinata, Director of MTDL.
The Solution & Consulting business unit will continue their strategies based on the Eight Pillars of the Metrodata Solution, which has been coordinated to support the Government initiative “Roadmap Indonesia Making 4.0”. The Company has a strong base to provide the latest solutions to support the digital transformation of corporate customers in the form of emerging technologies, such as Big Data and Analytics, Digital Business Platform, Microservices, Testing Tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI), IT Security, and other solutions.
Randy continued to explain that in the first quarter of 2020, MTDL was able to record a net profit of IDR 94.3 billion, increased by 10.1% YoY from the same period last year of IDR 85.6 billion. MTDL also posted a sales growth of 4.9% YoY from Rp3.2 trillion in the first quarter of 2019 to Rp 3.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2020. Even in the midst of economic uncertainty due to Covid-19 pandemic, MTDL was able to achieve sales growth from the Solution & Consulting business unit by 15.4% yoy and the Distribution business unit by 1.4% yoy. The growth was supported by the diversification efforts undertaken by each business unit, human resources, as well as excelent management in sales processing, implementation, and billing process.
In the second quarter of 2020, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic was more felt in the Company's Distribution business unit, as some customer stores were closed, especially in Jabodetabek and Java area, but some of the stores were still selling through online. While the sales to customers outside of Java are still going well.
On the other hand, the Solution & Consulting business unit were still growing in line with our support to enable the employees of our corporate customers to work from home. The main customers of the Solution & Consulting business unit came from the banking industry, telecommunications and other sectors that are not too affected by this COvid-19 pandemic.
