MTDL Actively Develop Digital Entrepreneurs

Collaboration of Metrodata Academy with Ciputra University

Jakarta, June 17, 2021 - To support the advancement of ICT and digital transformation in Indonesia, PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (“MTDL” or the Company), an issuer of Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”), especially in the field of digital solutions and hardware and software distribution, is actively developing digital entrepreneurs. The digital entrepreneurs are much needed along with the digital transformation. Therefore, MTDL, through its subsidiary PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika (“MII”), has a division related to education, especially in the IT field, namely Metrodata Academy making efforts to support the digital entrepreneurs. Currently, Metrodata Academy is collaborating with Ciputra University, Surabaya to provide ICT training.

 

Susanto Djaja as the President Director of MTDL said, “In supporting digital transformation, we do not only provide ICT solutions and products. But MTDL also creates training programs to build digital talent that can support the development of industry 4.0. Therefore, this collaboration with Ciputra University is one of our contributions to support education in Indonesia by creating digital entrepreneurs to meet qualified Human Resources in the ICT field and be able to jointly advance the ICT industry to compete globally.”

 

The collaboration between Metrodata Academy and Ciputra University consists of four training programs, namely Metrodata Training, Metrodata IT Camp, Metrodata Internship, and ‘Metrodata Mengajar’. One of the collaboration forms is the implementation of a Certificate of Companion Diploma or SKPI for Ciputra University students. Metrodata Academy as an official partner of the big technology brands such as Microsoft, Oracle, EC-Council, Red Hat, and CompTIA will provide students with international standard certification as a preparation for entering the workforce in the future. “MTDL is committed to participate in the intellectual life of the nation, especially the development of digital talent potential, both for IT Professionals and students. Supported by principals and training center licenses, MTDL presents learning by a competent and certified team in their field,” said Herryanti Herman, Director of PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika.

 

In addition, Metrodata Academy also runs the program of the Ministry of Education and Culture for Independent Learning, namely the ‘Kampus Merdeka’. Metrodata Academy also facilitates internship programs and learning classes (Metrodata Coding Camp and Metrodata Security Camp) through innovative, creative, and collaborative IT learning to be able to compete in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0.

 

Aside contributing to develop and create digital entrepreneurs, MTDL through MII has also prepared digital solutions to support digital transformation. MTDL provides a digital business platform, one of which is an Application Programming Interface (API) solution that is widely needed for start-ups, organizations, and banks. Where MTDL offers a digital payment gateway that can integrate digital payment systems. Currently, MTDL also supports a program initiated by Bank Indonesia, namely BI FAST for retail payment system infrastructure that can facilitate retail payments using various instruments available in real-time.

 

MTDL also offers Micro Services & DevOps, namely Cloud Services, which is an internet-based data storage service that can provide speed and convenience for customers, especially during this pandemic where all activities are carried out digitally. Cloud Services that have become MTDL partners are Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). “In the future, through the solutions offered and our active role in building digital talent, it is expected that MTDL can continue to support digital transformation in Indonesia,” concluded Susanto.
