‘Kampus Merdeka’ is a program designed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in order to release students to develop their talents and potential. This program is designed to be conducted at campuses and for professional partners. Metrodata Academy was selected to run two programs, namely the Internship/Work Practice program and the Study/Independent Project program. Metrodata Academy is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology to lead the Internship program (Metrodata Academy Ecosystem) and Certified Independent Study program (Network Security Operation Center - Cyber Blue Team). Another benefit is that students for both programs can also undergo the certification process. The program will be implemented with a duration of six months, starting from early August 2021 to January 2022 and can be converted into credits which are equivalent to 20 credits.
Herryanti Herman as Director of MII explained, “We are grateful to be selected in this ‘Kampus Merdeka’ program, where Metrodata Academy has long been committed to actively participating in the fulfillment of National talents. The synergy between the Government, Universities, and corporations connects the skills gap between the world of education and industry. One of the activities carried out at ‘Kampus Merdeka’ is Cyber Security in collaboration with the EC Council, namely Certified Network Defender (CND) and Certified Incident Handler (ECIH). As no doubt, digital transformation has increased the need for digital security, so we are here to prepare digital talent in the cyber security field. Then, for the internship program, we provide four positions, namely Business Analyst, Developer, Quality Assurance, and System Analyst. Currently, students can register through the ‘Kampus Merdeka’ website (https://kampusmerdeka.kemdikbud.go.id/) and we hope that we can help them develop their professional talents.”
