Being Digital Transformation Enabler, MTDL Performance Grows Rapidly

Achieved 32% Revenue Increase in 2021

Jakarta, March 29, 2022 — PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (“MTDL”), a Digital Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”) public company, which particularly specialized in the field of digital solutions and digital distribution, continues to strengthen the digital transformation in Indonesia. Currently, digital transformation has become a necessity, so the role of MTDL as a digital transformation enabler is becoming more tangible to help digitization acceleration. This is reflected in the brilliant performance of MTDL in 2021. Even though in 2021 there will still be a policy of Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, MTDL still posted a good performance by achieving revenue of IDR18.5 trillion or an increase of 32% YoY.

Susanto Djaja as the President Director of MTDL said, Entering 2022, digitalization has become a necessity so that the demand for digital products and solutions continues to increase. Seeing this condition, we realize that the market potential that must be worked on is getting bigger, starting from Banking and Financial Services, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, and many more. Where many global companies are also starting to be aggressive in looking for local partners who already have a wide market reach. Realizing this, certainly, it is our role as a digital transformation enabler in Indonesia to provide digital solutions and products for various companies and the public sector. This is also in line with our new vision to become the leading digital economy hub and enabler.”

MTDLs performance growth in 2021 cannot be separated from its two business units, namely Digital Distribution and Digital Solutions & Consulting. Throughout 2021, the Digital Distribution business unit was driven by sales of smartphones, notebooks, and gaming products, as well as their components. On the other hand, the Digital Distribution business unit is also supported by MTDL’s omnichannel, which provides convenience for the dealers by facilitating dealers so that they can do the selling activities more easily, both online and offline through multiple channels.

MTDL also continues to innovate by offering new initiatives, for example in the Digital Solutions & Consulting unit through its subsidiary PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika (“MII”), MTDL provides the BI-FAST MII Converter System (KOMI) to assist the banks in digital transformation. MTDL is also continuing to add to its global partnership for cloud hyperscaler solutions with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud. Most recently, MII also added a collaboration with NetApp for the Hybrid Multicloud Design and Optimization Workshop (HMDOW) to help enterprises identify and optimize their choice of cloud application models, tailored to their workloads and application needs.

Randy Kartadinata as Director of MTDL, explained, We are grateful to be able to achieve a good performance in 2021 thanks to the performance of each MTDL business unit. In 2021, apart from achieving good revenue, MTDL also managed to book a net profit of IDR508.9 billion which increased 39% YoY. Each contribution, namely the Digital Distribution business unit, achieved a net profit of IDR505.9 billion, an increase of 41% YoY. On the other hand, the Digital Solutions & Consulting business unit posted a net profit of IDR255.9 billion, an increase of 36% YoY. In the future, we are optimistic that we can achieve even better performance.”

MTDL through its subsidiary PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (“SMI”) continues to be the official distributor of various global companies to be able to continue to complement the products needed by the market. From the latest information, SMI has also added to its partnership with Mendix to distribute the Mendix all-in-one low code platform that can help companies accelerate the development of digital applications through cloud usage more quickly and efficiently.

In addition, MTDL also strives to develop digital talents through its subsidiary MII, namely by having a Metrodata Academy which has conducted various training and certifications, especially in the field of ICT & Digital. In line with its new vision, MTDL is also strengthening the digital ecosystem by investing in start-ups, either directly or through venture capital. This is one of MTDLs efforts to support the actualization of the national digital economy.

MTDL is optimistic that the market potential will be even greater. MTDL will continue to equip its digital products and solutions by providing excellent service to its customers and continue to add to its various global partnerships. Through the efforts and strategies that will be implemented, we believe we can achieve double-digit growth in 2022. It is also assured that MTDL can continue to strengthen its business as a digital transformation enabler in Indonesia to accelerate digitization, Susanto concluded.
