JAKARTA, INDONESIA, 25 October 2017—Genetec Inc. (“Genetec”), a leading technology provider of unified security, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Information and CommunicationsTechnology Distributor PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (“SMI”)—a subsidiary of PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (IDX: MTDL). Terms of the distribution partnership agreement will allow SMI rights to sell and distribute the majority of the Genetec portfolio of open-architecture, security solutions. Genetec and SMI will now bein a strategic position to provide the hardware and software systems needed to ‘Protect the Everyday’, and offer greater insights for operations, intelligence, and security to both public and private sectors across Indonesia.

The Genetec product catalog will be available to SMI, and includes the company’s flagship—Genetec Security Center—which unifies access control, video management systems (VMS), automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), VoIP communications, and analytics. Additionally, SMI will be able to offer new Genetec privacy, analytics, and sensing applications with network infrastructure appliances, and cloud services.

Genetec has strategic partnerships withover 230 global camera and access control hardware manufacturers, and supports over 2,800 camera models and door access control devices. This means that whether for retail, banking, business, government, higher education, airports, metro, bus, and trains, oil and mining, or community security programs—Genetec will offer great choice and flexibility to itscertified channel partners, systems integrators, and customers across Indonesia.
