MTDL Aims for Public Sector Revenue of IDR 1Trillion in 2023

Contract Orders in the Public Sector Tripled in 2022

Jakarta, January 18th 2023 — PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (“MTDL”), a public listed company of Digital Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”), particularly in Digital Solutions and Consulting and Digital Distribution is targeting IDR 1 trillion in revenue from the public sector in 2023. This is based on the massive digital transformation in SOEs and government institutions that require digital solutions from the Company.

The growth in the number of contract orders in this sector is very huge, reaching three times. In 2021 the Company earned IDR 232 billion in revenue and by the end of 2022 it is expected to reach IDR 700 billion. It is hoped that this achievement will continue to increase so that the target of IDR 1 trillion can be achieved in 2023.

Besides the public sector, Solutions and Consulting business opportunities in the digital native sector are also increasingly open. This is caused by a number of start-ups and unicorns that have to make efficiencies, including in the IT, so they need digital solutions.

"Currently the biggest contribution from the Solutions and Consulting business unit comes from the banking and financial services, telecommunications and oil and gas sectors. Opportunities in other sectors such as the public sector and digital native are still very open because the digital transformation in this sector is very massive. We are very focused on this sector to achieve this year's target," said President Director of MTDL, Susanto Djaja.

The Solutions and Consulting business unit has eight pillars of Metrodata's digital solutions; Cloud Services, Big Data & Analytics, IT Security, Hybrid IT Infrastructure, Business Applications, Digital Business Platforms, Consulting & Advisory Services, and Managed Services. This service is to respond opportunities from digital transformation that companies in Indonesia continue to carry out.

One of the solutions that needs attention because of its fast growth is the Cloud business. It was able to grow 63% YoY in the third quarter of 2022. MTDL's revenue from the Cloud is expected to continue to rise because it is supported by the trend of switching to Cloud-based subscriptions which are increasingly in demand. Furthermore, opportunities in consulting security are also getting bigger, because the level of digital attacks such as ransomware is increasingly damaging and can even stop a company's business.

Meanwhile, in the Distribution business unit, the Company distributes nearly 90% of IT brands in Indonesia. In 2022, there were five additional IT products handled, which further complement MTDL's product portfolio. With this broad portfolio, business risks can be dispersed so that the Company's business will remain stable even though there are shocks in certain brands.

Besides continuing to add its product portfolio, the Company will also continue to enlarge its channel coverage in all business sectors and increase cooperation with vendors that have the potential to grow. Currently the Company has 5,200 channel partners and 3,700 active dealers in 20 locations in 150 cities in Indonesia. Distribution through omnichannel both offline and online has also been carried out to facilitate transactions with customers.

The company has set a revenue target and net profit growth of 10% in 2023. This target has considered the impact of the macroeconomic situation which is expected to fluctuate this year. The company sees that growth opportunities remain open so that business expansion continues.

“In an uncertain economic situation, there must be positive things that we can take. We will continue to add more products and expand our market more, because in difficult times competitors will usually slow down or reduce their investment, while we want to remain aggressive," added Susanto Djaja.

Meanwhile, as part of the Company's participation in providing digital literacy, digital skills, and work preparation to the Indonesian society, MTDL has joined Microsoft's strategic partnership activities with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Through Metrodata Academy, a division of the Company’s subsidiary PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika, MTDL has joined forces with several other IT companies in Satu Talenta, a LinkedIn community made by Microsoft which is intended to be a meeting place for Indonesian digital talents who already have Microsoft certification. In these communities, they can discuss various matters related to the world of work, ranging from digital skills that are relevant to industry needs, networking with companies or institutions, to sharing job vacancies.

Satu Talenta is part of the Skills for Jobs Indonesia program, a strategic partnership program between Microsoft and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, which was recently launched. Skills for Jobs Indonesia is a program that aims to provide digital literacy, digital skills, and free job preparation to at least one million Indonesians by 2024.
