MII Wins Two Innovation Awards from Channel Asia

Jakarta, December 4, 2021 - PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (‘MTDL’), an Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”) listed company in the field of digital solutions and hardware as well as software distribution, through its subsidiary PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika (“MII”) continues to create various digital breakthroughs for its customers. This is shown by MII through winning two awards from Channel Asia - Partner Innovation Awards 2021 for Enterprise and Collaboration categories. Also, MII has been named as finalists for three categories; Think Differently, Mid-Market, and SMB (Small & Midsize Business). MTDL through its other subsidiary namely, PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (“SMI”), has also been given a highly commended category award by Channel Asia for Distributor Innovation in the Incubation area, as well as becoming finalists for two categories; Creativity and Hardware.

Sjafril Effendi as Director of MTDL who is also the President Director of MII commented, “These two awards are very meaningful to us because they show the results of MII’s innovation in utilizing technology to assist not only companies for their digital transformation but also for other institutions such as universities as well as many other sectors.”

For the Enterprise category, MII is recognized for its efforts such as in the Digital Payment Platform for the banking industry with Smart Payment and Smart Payment Portal that supports high performance, as well as KOMI (BI-FAST System MII Converter) both using industry-based standards (Software AG) and open systems (Red Hat). MII is also ready to assist companies in providing Super Apps software infrastructure that targets the banking industry. This Super Apps solution can also be used in other industries.

Meanwhile, for the collaboration category, MII received recognition for their efforts such as in the higher education industry, using Salesforce and 3 Dolphins (Indonesian local Chatbot solution) to provide solutions, such as student journey onboarding and covering digital media channels, omnichannel engagement, and enhancing customer experience, capturing early prospective students, and nurture the student onboarding.

Lie Heng as Director of SMI, said “SMI is recognized for its outstanding efforts to support the channel ecosystem with Professional Services, Assembling Services, Digital Services, Solution Lab, and Customer Experience Hub. In addition, we have also started our own digital transformation by developing the SMI Digital Infrastructure as a Business Platform to further expand the market reach and business potential of our partner ecosystem.”

The awards obtained represent the entire Southeast Asian ecosystem consisting of more than 220 finalists (including 65 individuals) selected by more than 90 organizations and more than 300 nominees, partners, start-up companies, telecommunications, vendors, and distributor businesses.

In terms of financial performance, as of 30 September 2021 MTDL has managed to increase sales by 20.9% from IDR10 trillion to IDR12.1 trillion with a significant increase in net profit from IDR267,7 billion to IDR351.4 billion, or an increase of 31.3% YoY.

It is worth noting, MTDL is currently in the process of planning a stock split with a ratio of 1:5 which will be decided at the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS). The purpose of this stock split is to increase the liquidity of the number of shares in the market, make MTDL’s share price more affordable, and increase the number of shareholders.

Metrodata was also recently appointed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Strategic Collaboration partner to provide innovative and comprehensive cloud solutions for companies or organizations in Indonesia. “We will continue to strive to be partners with companies or organizations to help them carry out digital transformation in the partner ecosystem with local partners and from around the world,” concluded Sjafril.
