Jakarta, July 6, 2021 - PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (“MTDL” or the Company), an issuer of Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”), through the Solution and Consulting business unit in its subsidiary PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika (“MII”), continues to keep up with the digital transformation of banking in Indonesia. MTDL launched the KOMI (BI-FAST System MII Converter) solution in collaboration with world-class technology partners, Software AG and Red Hat to support a program initiated by Bank Indonesia, namely the BI-FAST Payment System. KOMI is a solution focusing in customer experience and data analytics.

Susanto Djaja as the President Director of MTDL said, “Technology development continues to evolve over time. This is no exception for the Banking and Finance industry, which already within a digitalization trend. We are present through MII to provide digital solutions to help banking in Indonesia by supporting the BI-FAST program. Together with our global partners Software AG and Red Hat, MII provides a KOMI solution that will connect the BI-FAST Connector with Core Banking and Channels (ATM, Teller, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking) using ISO 20022 messaging. We hope that in line with this BI-FAST program, we can continue to provide the best solutions.”

This is in line with changes in the behavior pattern of customers who do a lot of digital transactions, thus various banks have begun to transform into Digital Banks, which is welcomed by the Financial Services Authority (‘OJK’) with the issuance of the preparation of Digital Bank regulations. In response to this, MII is present to provide technology solutions in accordance with business developments based on the 8 pillars of the Digital Business Platform. One of them is the Integration & Application Programming Interface (API), where MII has an integration solution that has been implemented in the Indonesian banking industry.

In collaboration with Software AG, MII has succeeded in implementing “Digitalizing Microfinance in Indonesia” in one of the largest national banking industries in Indonesia, namely PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (“Bank BRI”). Bank BRI has 9,000 physical bank branches and a network of more than 500,000 hyperlocal “branchless” agents serving more than 100 million customers. As the largest bank, we certainly need a system integrator with a flexible single integration platform, highly robust applications with efficient time, robust transaction instruments to connect back-end systems, and faster marketing times for services, as well as new API1. Solutions that have been offered and successfully implemented in some banks include Payment Gateway (Unified Bill Payment), Virtual Accounts, and Smart Virtual Accounts.

“Therefore, with digital disruption, especially in the banking sector, companies in related industries (banks, insurance, multi-finance) have begun to innovate and seek to adopt digital transformation. Talking about the adoption of technology, people, and process is the basic management of digital transformation to innovate, which will result in new products to be launched more quickly to customers. And, as a key for organizations to be able to successfully adopt digital transformation,” said Hamdani Arif, Digital Solution Head of PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika.
