AWS offers a variety of compute and storage options certified for HANA in production environments, including the largest cloud-native instances certified for HANA production, and up to four nodes for a total of 48 TB of memory for very large S/4HANA deployments. To assist customers in getting started, the SAP HANA QuickStart / AWS Launch Wizard automates the deployment of a fully functional SAP HANA system on AWS, adhering to best practices from both AWS and SAP.

“If we had insisted on using on-premise solutions, provisioning hardware and licenses could take over four weeks. Using SAP HANA on AWS Cloud was a strategic move to enhance business process efficiency,” Liem Tjien continued.

MBR also appreciated AWS Cloud's flexibility, particularly regarding budget considerations, which remain a key factor when modifying SAP system operations and evaluating public cloud usage.

Additionally, the company benefited from shifting CAPEX costs to OPEX, eliminating the need for significant upfront investments.

“We realized that we lacked an in-house IT team for the implementation process, so we collaborated with our headquarters IT team at Garudafood to ensure a smooth process,” said Liem Tjien.
