Jakarta, 12 September 2017—With the theme “Digital & Business Disruption”, the Metrodata Solution Day 2017 (“MSD 2017”) is back and answering the challenges of providing Information Communication and Technology (“ICT”) solutions for business people in Indonesia. More than 1,000 IT professional and key business users join and attended the full day conference and exhibition.

The swift changed of technologies have been impacting massif disruption across industries. Instead of think smart and innovate to face the new challenges out there, some industries too late to response and left behind by their users and customers. Disruption can change everything, therefore the old way of doing businesses being outdated, to innovate is a must. Disruption can happen everywhere. If we can handle and make use the disruption, it will impact on cost efficiency thru simplify the process, better products quality, potentially create a new market, the products or services become more affordable or easy to access, become smarter in doing business.

Disruption is an innovation. It will replace the entire legacy systems with new systems. Including digital technology that will become the driving forces resulting new things that more efficient and useful. Next, Internet of Things trend will also have more and more important roles.

“Disruption should not be viewed as an enemy for an organization, instead it should be used as opportunities for innovation. When the world of technology transform, we do not remain static, many things to do so we are not left behind and always in line with IT trend. We convert the conventional originated business processes to be online business processes. And this resulted in time and cost efficiency, faster, more transparent and accurate business proses”, said Susanto Djaja, President Director of PT Metrodata Electronics, Tbk.

The new digital era today is really what many have called the next industrial revolution where data becomes the main driver. This ruthlessly redraws the business landscape and reinventing our future,” said Catherine Lian, Managing Director, Dell EMC Indonesia. “Dell EMC believes this monumental change is rich with opportunities that necessitate businesses to rethink their business processes to become more agile, flexible, innovative, user-oriented and customer focused. Technology plays a fundamental role to help them achieve this”.

“DSI’s development and execution of Cloud Inventory solutions along the extended supply chain is disruptive in the industry. We are proud to partner with PT Soltius Indonesia, a subsidiary Company who understands the importance of the digital economy in the Indonesian market”, said Bob Carver, VP, Digital Inventory Solutions of Data Systems International, Inc.

According Mulia Dewi Karnadi - One Commercial Partner & Small, Medium, Corporate Director, Microsoft Indonesia that Business leaders in Indonesia shows the urgency to adapt to the 4th Industrial Revolution that blurs the boundaries between the physical, digital, and biological worlds. In a study titled 'The Microsoft Asia Digital Transformation: Enabling the Intelligent Enterprise' [1], as many as 90% of business leaders in Indonesia declared the need to make a digital transformation to drive the growth of the company. Unfortunately, only 27% have had a thorough digital transformation strategy. The remaining 51% are still planning the process of digital transformation and as many as 22% have not had any strategy.

Mulia Dewi Karnadi explained, "Organizations that are not able to adapt to the times will be less competitive. Therefore, Microsoft encourages every organization to immediately make a digital transformation in this technology-based era in order to be able to adapt to changes, both internal and external changes. "

“Digital disruption should be treated as an opportunity to better transform the way businesses are run and the way we interact with customers. The digital disruption we are experiencing today starts with the emergence of social, mobile and cloud computing technologies that leads to new business and economic models with a strong focus on customer experience,”

“Modern workplace is an example of digital disruption, resulted today, employees can set up in-person meetings across the globe using Skype for Business, share their desktop to give presentations easily to everyone, take team-editable notes using OneNote, post notes to SharePoint for group editing and review, and save to OneDrive for easy access and future reference. But disruptive technology tools alone will not accomplish the goal of enterprise productivity. They can only work when employees possess the knowledge and skills to utilize the tools seamlessly and to their highest potential, creating greater workplace productivity. We are thrilled that Metrodata Electronics has this initiative to educate more people on the digital disruption and how it can actually have greater impact to businesses. We are ready to support this initiative by also providing our technology that can help everyone to face this digital transformation era.”

“Agility is the key to success in today’s digital disruption era. Enterprises must be able to turn a myriad of technology innovations offered by multiple private and public cloud vendors, into value-added business opportunities,” said Paul Serrano, Chief Evangelist, NUTANIX APJ. “The Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform provides customers with the simplicity needed to manage all of these innovations in One OS and One Click, on Any Cloud, enabling the agility needed for future growth.”
