Jakarta, April 15, 2025 — PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia ("SMI"), a leading information and communication technology distributor in Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Metrodata Electronics, Tbk (“Metrodata”), today officially launches the Grand Opening of its Synnex Metrodata Indonesia Warehouse Phase 2.
This SMI warehouse grand opening represents a strategic initiative by the company to increase its product storage capacity and expand distribution reach across Indonesia. It also serves as an integral part of SMI’s broader strategy to strengthen its supply chain, meet evolving customer demands, and support the sustainable growth of the national technology industry.
In his remarks, Susanto Djaja, President Director of PT Metrodata Electronics, Tbk, outlined the growth targets, stating that Metrodata is projected to significantly increase its revenue to IDR 50 trillion by the end of 2029, representing a twofold growth within the next five years. In line with this, the company’s net profit is also expected to double, reaching IDR 1.5 trillion over the same period.
This warehouse marks a significant expansion of SMI’s logistics capacity, adding 18,000 square meters of storage space and accommodating up to 21,000 pallet positions. With this addition, SMI’s total warehouse capacity has increased by 82%, reaching a total of 40,000 square meters.
“We remain committed to continuously enhancing our service quality and better addressing customer needs. This new warehouse is a symbol of our ongoing innovation and our determination to strengthen logistics capabilities in response to growing market demand. We believe this warehouse will serve as a strong foundation for Synnex Metrodata Indonesia’s future growth and success,” said Sur Hang Aiwan, President Director of PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia.
Synnex Metrodata Indonesia Warehouse Phase 2 was developed following the success of SMI’s first warehouse, which has been fully operational since January 2019 and has maintained a stable occupancy rate of around 70–80% since its establishment in 2018. In light of rising market demand, expanding capacity has become a strategic move to support larger-scale and more efficient operations.
This expansion is also expected to enhance collaboration with local logistics partners, in line with SMI’s commitment to contributing to the growth of Indonesia’s digital economy.
