PT. Millennium Pharmacon International Tbk. (MPI) was founded in Jakarta on 20 October 1952 under the name of NV Perusahaan Dagang SOEDARPO CORPORATION. In the year of 2000, NVPD Soedarpo Corporation has its name to PT MPI. Currently, the major shareholder is a strategic investor from Malaysia that is Pharmaniaga Bhd. MPI is an independent listed company. With its strength of distribution network in 33 branches and 1 central warehouse and supporting with experienced human resource in pharmaceutical field, MPI commit to become a distribution company which give best service to all its customers and principals.
Previously, MPI is using Oracle EBS R11 On-Premise as their ERP. There are several downsides to On-Premise solutions such as Additional investment for DRC, Complex security requirements for remote user access, Performance issues due to obsolete Hardware, and several findings from MPI holding on Governance & Compliance. Although the EBS R11 is still sufficient to support their daily operation, there are some concerns due to EBS R11 is already not supported by Oracle. In Management reporting, BI Dashboard is needed that includes the ERP system.
Pharmaniaga Berhad as MPI’s Holding requires Oracle EBS R11 to be replaced with a SAAS solution, so they can have benefits such as the ability to get rid of most or all hardware and software, centralized data security, higher performance and availability, business continuity, and frequent software upgrade. The new application should also does not have significant differences with Oracle EBS R11 UI, so they do not have to spend extra effort for their users to learn the new UI.
MPI also expect a modern ERP, that will reduce dependency on the MIS team for uploading bulk data via back-end, such as uploading updated price list, new SKU code, etc.

Oracle Fusion ERP can accommodate MPI’s needs to record the procure-to-pay cycle, order-to-cash cycle, supply chain cycle, and financial report cycle. With Oracle Fusion ERP, MPI does not have to worry about high availability, DRC, and security compliance, since everything is already managed by Oracle. MPI Users can also leverage some new functionality that is available in Oracle Fusion such as Subledger Accounting, Multiple Shipment PO in single distribution, Receipt at Risk, and real-time notification via Infolet. This solution clearly provides an increase in productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency in the process of recording transactions and month-end reporting.
